转基因动物中心简介
    转基因动物中心以南昌大学转化医学研究院为依托,成立于2011年,拥有近2000平方米的实验空间,其中用于生产和饲养转基因小鼠的百万级洁净鼠房(SPF级动物房)约1000余平方米。
      SPF动物房作为本中心的建设重点,建有万级屏障系统,五个饲养间(包括大小鼠实验室)、胚胎冻存室、显微注射室、动物尸体冻存室、检疫隔离室、洗消间、饲料间、垫料间、配电间等。其基本硬件设施配备完善,目前已经正式进入运行阶段。本中心将致力发展成为江西省首家AAALAC认证的动物中心。
      平台配备两套微注射工作台及其辅助设施、胚胎干细胞培养室、外科手术室、动物饲养设备等。主要开展各种小鼠转基因关键技术的研究和转基因小鼠的生产,包括目的基因过表达、基因敲除、条件性基因敲除小鼠等,为相关疾病研究提供动物模型和新药筛选模型,同时为我省高校及各类科研机构的高水平研究项目提供支撑。
      本中心还拥有大型实验室、细胞房各一间,配备有荧光倒置显微镜、全波长酶标仪、荧光显微镜、荧光体式镜、流式细胞仪、低温高速离心机、血细胞分析仪等实验仪器,以满足科研人员动物实验的需要。
    中心主任邓柯玉教授,曾任美国康奈尔大学动物中心主任,于2009年回国,主要从事大鼠和小鼠转基因动物模型的制备、心血管发育生物学、代谢性疾病研究。目前邓柯玉教授带领的科研团队共有在职博士1人,博士生3人,硕士生7人,实验员2人。
